MissingManual is a remote MCP server. Your agent commissions a guide on a subject its training data does not cover, waits, and receives markdown. Research runs for up to 90 minutes. You can audit every claim. No signup.

Context7 fetches the manual that exists. We write the one that does not.
What your agent calls
Both are exposed over Streamable HTTP MCP at
https://missingmanual.ai/mcp. There is no account, no API key
to issue, and no browser checkout. Payment-aware agents connect and pay
per job.
create_guideCommission a research guide on a technical subject. The agent approves a maximum charge before any research starts; a hold is placed, and only then does the run begin. Returns a job id and one opaque capability. Research runs up to 90 minutes.
get_guideRetrieve a guide with its job id and capability. Returns status while the run is in flight, then the markdown and an itemized receipt once the charge has settled. Status reads are free and move no money.
Price
Your agent authorizes a maximum first. A successful guide charges the measured provider cost, rounded up to the next USD cent, plus exactly $2.00. A failed or cancelled guide charges $0 and the authorization is released in full. The charge never exceeds the maximum your agent approved.
When not to use it
A guide costs money and takes up to an hour and a half. If the official documentation covers the subject, read the documentation. MissingManual is for subjects that are new, poorly documented, or contradicted by their own release notes — the cases where a model answers confidently and is wrong.
What this is not
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into. Guides are not published here, listed here, or searchable here. A guide is held by whoever holds its capability. Humans can read this site; they cannot buy a guide in a browser.
